In 1950, Anti-Pest was established at the corner of Stoner Avenue and Youree Drive. J.T. May joined the company in 1955 and swiftly advanced to become general manager. He eventually bought the company in 1982 and served as President for many years. Son-in-law, Jarrod Horton joined Anti-Pest in 1990 and became President in 1996 after the retirement of Mr. May. In 2001, Mr. May's daughter, Michele Horton, joined the family business as Chief Financial Officer and in 2011, she and Jarrod purchased the company. In 2013, Anti-Pest relocated to Professional Drive in South Shreveport and in 2021, they purchased a larger building on the same street. The new building was completely renovated and now serves as the corporate headquarters for Anti-Pest, the largest pest control company in Northwest Louisiana!
